Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the App cost?

The App is free from the Microsoft Store. The licensed software required to run the App is Microsoft PowerApps and Microsoft SharePoint. Please ensure you have access to these components if you wish  to use the App.

How do I access the inspection results?

The information collected in the App is stored in SharePoint Lists created during installation. Each inspection is tagged with a unique inspection number to make differentiating between multiple inspections of the same site possible.

The recommended method of reporting on the information would be via software such as PowerBI or another reporting package capable of accessing the SharePoint List which retains the data.

Can I change the Inspection categories/questions?

The App is designed to be used “as is”, with no user customisation.

If you require a custom version of the App, or one with expanded features,  please contact us to discuss pricing.

What Do I Need

The Site Inspection App has been built within the Microsoft Power Platform.

This means that you will need a Microsoft Tenant with appropriate licensing to run the App and store the data recorded.

Each user will need a PowerApps license assigned to them to be able to access the App.

The data collected will be stored within SharePoint lists created by the installation process which run when the App is initially set up.

The App can be run on any device capable of accessing PowerApps, phone, tablet or PC.

Accessing and reporting on the data stored is best done via software such as PowerBI, which can aggregate the data and present the information in many easy to comprehend forms. This enables you to drill down into individual inspections or establish broader trends by drawing on the sum of the data collected.

How Do I Get The App

The App is available on the Microsoft Store as a free download.

Please be aware:

The person downloading and installing the App needs to have the SharePoint permissions to allow installation and creation of of the required connections between PowerApps and SharePoint. Once installed, each user will need to be assigned access to the App in PowerApps.

When you have been granted access to the App, it will appear in your available applications in the PowerApps App on your device.
